Privacy policy

This document is a working draft and must be reviewed and approved by a lawyer before the app's public release.

1. Data controller

The SoftiMap Family app is provided by "SoftiMap". For privacy questions, contact privacy@softimap.com.

2. What data we process

Account data: name, email, family membership and role.
Location data: device coordinates, accuracy and time — only while location sharing is on.
Content: family events, tasks, places and messages that you create.
Technical data: device type and app version, error diagnostics.

We do not collect data for advertising and do not share location data with ad networks.

3. Location data

Location processing is based on your explicit use of the feature and device permissions. Location history is off by default.

4. Data retention

Data is kept while an account or family membership exists.

5. Data transfer and security

Data is transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Open map data is used for maps and routing.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, port, restrict the processing of, and request deletion of your data under applicable law (GDPR). Contact privacy@softimap.com.

7. Children's data

A child's account is created and managed by an adult family member.

8. Changes

We will notify you of material changes to this policy in the app or by email.
